Elli Wright honored as MTRA’s “Volunteer of the Month” for February

Elli Wright

Elli Wright, MTRA’s Volunteer of the Month for February 2014

Elli Wright has been a devoted volunteer at MTRA for more years than she cares to admit. She was raised in Pennsylvania and her father was a polo player, so Elli’s family had horses and she grew up smelling of hay and manure like so many horse crazy girls have enjoyed.

After college, Elli worked on Wall Street in New York City as a security analyst and investment portfolio manager, and eventually worked in Massachusetts and later upstate New York. She raised and showed Whippet dogs for many years and eventually retired to Cape Cod.

When those northeastern winters were no longer fun, Elli moved down to Florida and re-established her home in The Villages, and she has rescued two dogs and a miniature horse. She plays a mean game of golf, enjoys Qigong, her fitness workouts and not only does she volunteer at MTRA, she also helps Stride Dressage of Ocala.

Is there anything that Elli can’t do? We don’t think so! We are pleased to honor her with Volunteer of the Month for February 2014. Thank you for all you do, Elli!
