Bob Jacobs, MTRA’s Volunteer of the Month for March 2015

Congratulations to our dedicated volunteer Bob Jacobs for being selected as the MTRA March Volunteer of the Month. Bob, a two and a half year resident of Ocala, shares his home with his native Floridian former feral cat, Gracie. Bob moved here from the Eastern shore of Maryland where he had lived on the waters of the Chesapeake Bay. A native of Suburban Philadelphia, Bob Studied at the University of Pittsburgh, Lehigh University and graduated from Wilkes University with a B. A. and M. S. in the liberal arts, then began a 30 plus year career in government research and public administration of behavioral health and other human services systems. Mr. Jacobs also enjoyed a brief five year adventure in the wine and water import business. In addition, he was an estate appraiser of personal property for banks, trust departments, and private individuals.

Jacobs loves his volunteer work at MTRA because it is fun, purposeful and a great opportunity to meet like-minded individuals. Bob is a Volunteer Ambassador for MTRA and he is always willing to give up his nights and weekends doing outreach in the community. Please join us as we celebrate Bob during the month of March! Thank you, Bob, for all you do for us!
