MTRA Ambassadors Jan Hathaway and Diane Williams answered questions at the Autism Summit

Dr. Temple Grandin, best selling author and autism activist, spoke at Ocala’s Autism Summit held at Central Florida College on November 4th with our MTRA Ambassadors in attendence. Dr. Grandin discussed the importance for the autistic child to develop speech, develop “50’s-style” manners, play activities, and more to have exposure to many new activities for possible future job selection and socialization. Afterwards, Dr. Grandin took many questions and provided insight into many of the challenges faced by teachers, parents, medical personnel, and the autistic in the audience.
