Marion Therapeutic Riding Association, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of Ralph Flood to our volunteer Board of Directors.

Ralph Flood

Ralph Flood

Ralph graduated from the State University of New York at New Paltz, earning his Bachelor, Master and C.A.S. degrees. He has more than 30 years of experience as a special education teacher. Ralph also served as an adjunct professor at SUNY New Paltz for more than 15 years. He retired from New York’s Hudson Valley to The Villages seven years ago with his wife, Connie. After three years in Florida, Ralph discovered MTRA in the fall of 2012; a perfect match—working with children and returning to his farm roots. Although Ralph is a board member and also serves on MTRA’s busy fundraising committee, his favorite MTRA activity is working with the riders at the Hillcrest School. Ralph was honored at our 2013 Volunteer Appreciation banquet with our Dreamer Award, which is bestowed upon our most valuable volunteers.

“It took me over a year to convince Ralph to join our Board, and I am thrilled to finally include him officially in our meetings and decisions. I know his experience and devotion to the cause will help us to keep moving MTRA onward and upward,” said Board President Tami Johnson.
