Freedom Rider Therapeutic Saddle“Could MTRA use one of these?” was the email from our good friend, Roxanne Sardelli Greenway of Sarde Morgans in Clayville, Rhode Island. I quickly forwarded the link to the Freedom Rider English Therapeutic Riding Saddle to the girls at MTRA and received a very enthusiastic YES in their reply.

Just a week later, a box arrived at Marion Therapeutic Riding Association with the saddle, leathers, two girths and two different types of safety stirrups. This wonderful gift is the first of its kind at MTRA and our PATH instructors are anxious to put it to good use. Designed with input from Therapeutic riding programs worldwide, this unique saddle features a sturdy handle bar, rider leg straps, stirrup leather positioning straps, padded seat and two buckle-on seat pads to accommodate different size riders and to aid in balance. The mono flap design and extended billets permit contact and feel of horse for maximum benefit.
