The volunteer crew working hard to complete our new roof.
After many intermediate patches trying to keep MTRA’s Barn Manager, Gail Dufresne, and her husband dry in their on-site residence, volunteer Chay Hebert and her husband Ron were able to coordinate a wonderful group of roofers that included John Fleet, Richard Weaver, Jack B. West and Brian Richter. With materials supplied by Baseline Welding & Machine from Belleview, Florida, this tremendous crew was able to put on a brand new shiny Galvalume® roof! The crew worked over three weekends to accomplish this task, and we are so grateful for their efforts. This has been a project on the top of our list for over two years, and we are happy to have it checked off at last.
Putting the icing on the cake, Jack and Brian also helped us install a washer and dryer and convert one of our stalls to facilitate this addition.
Making this all possible was The Villages Friends of MTRA, a group of caring, wonderful people that have been devoted contributors to MTRA, holding garage sales and other fundraising events. The Villages Friends are responsible for many great projects that happen at both our Greenway and Hillcrest locations and we are blessed to have them on our side.
Finished!
