On April 23-26, 2015, MTRA Ocala will host a PATH Int’l Instructor Workshop and On-Site Registered Certification for any PATH member who is would like to become a Registered Therapeutic Riding Instructor, or would simply like to improve their therapeutic riding instruction skills.
The 2-1/2 day workshop will cover such topics as teaching techniques, task analysis, class structure, lesson plans, various types of disabilities, horse analysis, equipment, mounting and dismounting and volunteers. The instructor workshop provides participants the opportunity to synthesize and apply the knowledge in role-play situations and hands-on sessions. The workshop may be audited, but please note that auditing will not fulfill the Registered Instructor Certification requirement.
